The launch of the derivatives market is a gigantic step in Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) goal of putting Abu Dhabi at the heart of financial markets in the region. Billions of dollars of derivatives trade every year on exchanges around the world. Just like equities, derivatives can be traded by individuals or institutions through a derivatives broker.
Introducing derivatives is part of the exchange’s ADX ONE strategy, which aims to enhance liquidity and broaden our range of products and services.

ADX now offers equity futures that gives investors the ability to trade short term stock price movements and also to efficiently manage their investment portfolios.
DERIVATIVES CLEARING
The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) provides Clearing and Settlement services to Clearing Members of ADX Derivatives Market, where ADX shall guarantee all the trades done in ADX Derivatives Market and act as the central counterparty. These Clearing Members shall deposit their collaterals with respect to the margin requirements as notified by ADX clearing house.
REGULATIONS
ADX Derivatives Market operates under the framework of the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA). ADX clearing house is approved by SCA to undertake derivatives clearing via Central Counter Party (CCP) system.
